My protest against being unable to protest :( :( :(

I should be out there protesting against the murder of George Floyd and, as someone who's now retired and doesn't have to worry about going to work tomorrow, possibly getting myself arrested.  But I'm over 70, and, therefore, at too high a risk of contracting COVID-19 to dare mingling in a crowd.  :( :( :(

No one should be mingling in a crowd at this time, irrespective of age. On the other hand, if ever a moment called for mass protests, it's this one. I don't know the answer. I fervently support the cause. But part of me is extremely fearful and resentful that we meticulously socially distanced for months and that may be thrown to the winds now by these gatherings causing a new outbreak.

Indeed, David. Mark my words--there will be an uptake in the number of hospital admissions for COVID-19 within the next 2-4 weeks. :) That said, if there were ever a time for the brave to put their lives on the line for social justice, this is it. I don't have a good answer either. :)
